The Maison Dorcas (AMD) association created in 2018 is a non-profit organization. Established by members of the Church of the Missionary Assemblies of God “Temple of Victory” in Tabligbo in the prefecture of Yoto in the Maritime region of Togo. AMD’s mission is to train people to create income-generating activities (IGA) in order to improve their standard of living and living environment and to contribute to humanitarian works for orphans, vulnerable children and poor families. Voluntary donations and contributions from members of the Association constitute the working capital for the execution of the work of the AMD.

AMD REVENUE GENERATING ACTIVITIES

Financial resources constitute the driving force for the development of the actions of any company or organization. To find the financial means for these humanitarian activities AMD has initiated income-generating activities such as the production of corn and sugar cane on 2.5 hectares of cultivable land. For the current agricultural campaign, the yield of IKENE maize is 6.5 tons per hectare and the sugar cane will be harvested from January 2023. We have installed the IOT on the plot exploited with the support of AI Farming Technology.

In the field of education for vulnerable children, the Association Maison de Dorcas had distributed school supply kits made up of notebooks, pens, pencils, rulers, bags and fabrics for school clothes to primary and secondary school pupils in the villages of Kpokpo-Kondji, Amoussime Do-kopé. During the period of food shortage, AMD distributed food consisting of rice and beans to destitute children from poor families in four villages (Tabligbo, Kpokpo-kondji, Wogblavi-kondji and Adan-kopé). To reduce school wastage in the area, AMD has developed a school support project for vulnerable children to create lesson rehearsal centers received by disadvantaged primary and secondary school students every Saturday of the year.
